Azim Noordin Khamisa, a prominent author, thought leader, peace activist, and international speaker, hails from Kenya, Africa, with roots tracing back to the Eastern world. Early on, Azim received training in mathematics, economics, and international finance in the United Kingdom. With a successful career spanning over 45 years as an international investment banker, he conducted business across continents, including Africa, the Middle East, Canada, the USA, Europe, and Asia.
Azim is renowned for his unwavering commitment to promoting forgiveness, non-violent conflict resolution, restorative justice, and positive social change. His remarkable journey began with the tragic loss of his son, Tariq, in 1995, who fell victim to a senseless act of gang violence. Confronted with this heart-wrenching ordeal, Azim chose a path of forgiveness, healing and reconciliation, leading to the establishment of the Tariq Khamisa Foundation (TKF). This foundation is dedicated to inspiring youth to embrace non-violence, restorative justice, and forgiveness. In collaboration with Ples Felix, the grandfather of the young man who took his son's life, they have impacted the lives of over 2 million individuals through TKF's Peacemaker Assembly.
