John R. Patterson is founder and President of Progressive Insights a member of the Chip Bell Group. He is the co-author (with Chip Bell) of the international bestseller Wired and Dangerous; How Your Customers Have Changed and What To Do About It (BK, May 2011)

He is the co-author of two additional books with Chip Bell including the national best seller Take Their Breath Away: How Imaginative Service Creates Devoted Customers and Customer Loyalty Guaranteed: Create, Lead, and Sustain Remarkable Customer Service.

He has over 20 years of executive leadership experience in the hospitality, business services, real estate and financial services industries. Prior to founding Progressive Insights in 2001, his work experience included senior leadership positions with Trammell Crow Residential, Post Properties, Nations Bank (now Bank of America), Homestead Village, Inc., and Guest Quarters Hotels.
