Award-winning comedian Gerry Dee is one of the hottest talents in the business.
With a style reminiscent of early Bill Cosby routines, he has appeared multiple times on CBS, HBO, NBC, The Comedy Network, and performed coast-to-coast in Canada and internationally. NBC describes Gerry as "one of the next generation of Canadian comics to make it big". And they`re probably right: Gerry was the first Canadian in 27 years to win the prestigious San Francisco International Comedy Competition, the same competition that launched Robin Williams, Dana Carvey and Ellen Degeneres to superstardom.
The son of Scottish immigrant parents, Gerry Dee was born and raised in Ontario, Canada. He spent 10 years as a physical education teacher and hockey coach. In 1999 he put his classroom stories to good use in his comic debut and won Toronto`s Funniest New Comic competition. He continued teaching until 2003 when he made his US network debut on CBS` "Star Search" with Arsenio Hall. In July 2004 (and again in 2007), Gerry made his gala appearance at the world famous Montreal Just for Laughs International Comedy Festival. That year he also appeared in the CBS Sports reality series PGA Tour 18: Golf`s Ultimate Round, on The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn, and was featured in a National Lampoon DVD.
