Education and Early Years
Kate graduated magna cum laude from Middlebury College and holds a Masters Degree in Nutrition from Simmons College. Before forming her own company, she bought a one way ticket to Italy in 1995 and lived in Florence, an experience that shaped her deep love of vibrant food, and the connection between eating well and living at your highest level of health. She spent the early years of her career in Boston, running nutrition and weight loss programs for some of the Boston Area's largest employers, including Sun Microsystems, Reebok International, the Yankee Candle Company and Fitcorp.
Giving Back
Kate is honored to volunteer her nutrition expertise for members of the Wounded Warrior Project at the National Ability Center in Park City, Utah.
Kate donates 10% of her earnings each year to the non-profit Chier Foundation, which she co-founded and serves on the Board of Directors.
When not cooking up eco-licious cuisine, she enjoys "walking the walk": aspiring to a life loaded with as much skiing, hiking, yoga and mountain biking with her family as she can in the mountains of Utah.
